Proof (Spring 2010 edition)

Hi All…

Welcome to May, Spring and our latest Proof post to show everyone how Swag Bucks is working for us.

For those of you who are on the fence about Swag Bucks, this is for you.

We know we talk a lot about how rewarding, easy and fun Swag Bucks is but the proof is in the pudding.

Here is a screenshot of our account as of today, May 4, 2010, showing how many Swag Bucks we have and how many we have traded in for our gift certificates (click image for full size).   Give it some time, these images are getting big!proof-may10

If you click on the image above for a full sized version (and you have a lot of patience) you can see that since we started in January 2009, we have redeemed enough Swag Bucks to receive 212 $5 Amazon Gift Cards, 7 $25 Amazon Gift Cards and 16 $50 Amazon Gift Cards, and we currently have enough points for another $25 card.  Before you get your calculators out, that’s $2060 worth of free books (or whatever else you fancy at Amazon.com).  We’ve had tons of fun and got some awesome stuff including a free HP Mini, a free Nintendo Wii, and tons of books.

If this isn’t enough to get you clambering for a Swagbucks.com account maybe you’ll be persuaded by the following facts:

  • We achieved this doing what we would have done anyway.  Namely searching and social interacting.  No extra clicking, no surveys, just searching naturally.
  • We have not received one piece of junk mail due to joining Swagbucks.com
  • We love Swag Bucks so dang much that we made this whole blog just to shout it from the rooftops and to help others increase their rewards, find Swag Codes and just plain share the love.

So if you’d like to start earning real world prizes and gift certificates by doing exactly what you currently do every day sign up with our super special love-filled link

and start off with 30 Swag Bucks.

Swag Code Hunt in effect

swaghunt Hi All…

A Swag Code hunt has been announced on the Swag Bucks blog :

http://blog.swagbucks.com/2010/04/its-newsletter-day.html

You’re looking for a code hidden in an item description on the Froobi site

Here’s the link to the Froobi site:

http://www.froobi.com/

Hints?  Well there will be one in today’s newsletter, and TSG has mentioned that if you want to get this code you better “get cookin’ ” :P

UPDATE: Well the newsletter hint is accurate, but unfortunately the froobi.com search does not produce the proper results.  So let’s fall back on our old friend Swagbucks.com

The newsletter told us to search for a certain term on the froobi site.  You’ll get results, but the one you’re looking for is not among them.  Try typing the term from the newsletter followed by a space and then the text below into your Swag Bucks search engine:

►site:froobi.com◄

We can confirm that the product you are looking for is in the results and that the Swag Code is in the description.  Good luck!

TIME LEFT: EXPIRED 2840 hours, 4 minutes, 57 seconds ago

  1. Copy the code (it’s case sensitive)
  2. Go to http://www.swagbucks.com/?cmd=sb-swagbucks
  3. Paste it in the ‘Enter Your Swag Code’ box and click GIMME!

Good luck!  Let us know if you got it.

Unboxing – Our new FREE Nintendo Wii

Hi All…
Well, after a 14 months of racking up completely free Amazon gift cards we’ve gotten tons of books, and a FREE HP Mini.  Recently we decided to put our free Amazon gift cards toward something even more fun

That blurry piece of paper (sorry) at about 1:03 is our receipt showing a charge of zero dollars (love that price).  You can see a scan of the invoice here.

Remember, we’ve gotten $1215 worth of Amazon gift cards free just for using the Swagbucks.com search engine.   No answering surveys.  No clicking on adds.  No completing ‘offers’.  No need to purchase anything (even shipping is free) and no need to supply a credit card.

If this isn’t enough to get you clambering for a Swagbucks.com account maybe you’ll be persuaded by the following facts:

  • We achieved this doing what we would have done anyway.  Namely searching and social interacting.
  • We have not received one piece of junk mail due to joining Swagbucks.com.

Proof (New Year’s Edition)

Hi All…

We haven’t put up a Proof post in a while.  When the gift card limit came into effect at the beginning of November we had to reassess how we were going to continue with our gift cards.  We’re still figuring out what works best for us.  At any rate, we thought it would be a good time to update everyone on how we’re doing, seeing as it was almost exactly one year ago that we discovered and signed up for Swag Bucks.  Our hope was to win enough Swag Bucks to get a $5 Amazon.com gift card (they didn’t have .ca cards yet) each month.  At the end of the year we would have earned $60!  Well after our first month we did in fact earn enough Swag Bucks for one Amazon.com gift card, but with a little effort our Swag Bucks winnings have surprised even us.

So… here is our latest Proof post to show everyone how Swag Bucks is working for us.  We had made this a regular feature, posting updates in the middle and end of each month.  Lately however, we’ve noticed that our History area in our My Swag Bucks section of our account is only showing the latest dozen or so redeemed prizes.  Therefore we’ve made a screen capture of our Order Status page, so you can see everything we’ve ever redeemed.  The image is a bit bigger so please be patient.

For those of you who are on the fence about Swag Bucks, this is for you.

We know we talk a lot about how rewarding, easy and fun Swag Bucks is but the proof is in the pudding.

Here is a screenshot of our account as of today, January 5, 2010 (One year after signing up for Swag Bucks), showing how many Swag Bucks we have and how many we have traded in for our gift certificates (click image for full size).   Again, be patient, these images are getting absolutely enormous!

proof100105If you click on the image above for a full sized version you can see that since we started in January 2009, we have redeemed enough Swag Bucks to receive 193 $5 Amazon Gift Cards, 2 $25 Amazon Gift Cards, and 4 $50 Amazon Gift Cards and we currently have almost enough points for another $50 card.  Before you get your calculators out, that’s $1215  worth of free books (or whatever else you fancy at Amazon.com) not including the $50 card we’re near to getting.  The Swagstakes entries were bought with our miscellaneous Swag Bucks from other search and win sites.

$1215 in Amazon gift cards!!!

If this isn’t enough to get you clambering for a Swagbucks.com account maybe you’ll be persuaded by the following facts:

To the skeptics

Hi All…

Since we began WLSB we’ve had the pleasure of meeting tons of great people from the Swag Bucks community. Unfortunately, part and parcel of running any kind of publicly accessible forum is dealing with haters.

Over the months we’ve had dozens and dozens of angry, mean, spiteful comments. Usually, we simply delete them but a couple that were left on the latest proof post got under our skin. In short they claimed that we were faking our Swag Bucks account screen caps.

Well, we take issue with that. We pride ourselves on delivering a helping hand to fellow Swaggernauts young and old.  Accusing us of lying to the community we like to believe we helped build, well them’s fightin’ words.

If you visit the most recent proof post (by clicking here) you’ll see the following comments:

  • 1. Swaggernaut Special |  September 5, 2009 at 11:05 am

    FAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s all FAKE LOL You have just copied the page to your computer and edited the html LOL

Why don’t you actually take a video of it instead of you REFRESHING the page???

I bet we wont see that EVER!!

  • 2. Damien |  September 5, 2009 at 1:41 pm

This really isn’t proof at all, any newbie can edit a picture to look like this using only MS paint

Well Swaggernaut Special, we’ll take that bet, and Damien, sure any newbie can edit a screen cap, but we don’t need to, and never will.  To you two, and all the other haters, here is the video you requested:

Can’t see it clearly enough?  Click the full screen button (to the right of the timer).

In the video we go directly to www.swagbucks.com, click on My Account, see our current tally, click on My Swag Bucks, then History, then Redeemed, scroll to the bottom to see that we’ve redeemed 5122 Swag Bucks in total (that’s two more Amazon gift cards since we posted the proof photo seen here).

Then, so you can see how we did it and to drive our point home, we scroll up to the top and click on the Searching category (490 Swag Bucks) and the Friends category (285 Friends who’ve won us 4722 Swag Bucks… Thanks!)  The balance was won in Swag Codes, which brings us back to the point of WLSB.  We made this site to share the fun and rewards of Swag Bucks with everyone in the world.  A lot of folks get hints from us and ergo a few extra Swag Bucks.

We love Swag Bucks and we love the great Swag Bucks nation.  We will NEVER fake anything on this site.  Any one of you reading this can do exactly what we’ve done.  That’s why we’re here, to tell you just that.

Any one of you reading this can do exactly what we’ve done.

We would love to hear some positive comments on this post.  Show the haters that you support and believe in WLSB.

That’s the last you’ll ever hear of haters on WLSB.  Stick that up your Bucks and Swag it! :)
